CASC Block Party

Save the Date for the CASC Healthy Habits, Fun Times Block Party!

Save the date: Saturday, July 8, 12 noon – 5 pm for The Central Area Senior Center's Healthy Habits, Fun Times Block Party. We have acquired a City of Seattle Permit that allows us to close off 30th Avenue South Street north to King Street and South to Dearborn. Between these spaces we will offer food, games for children, youth and adults, music featuring DJ Cliff and DJ Smooth T. There will be entertainment of Double Dutch Rope demonstrations by the Double Dutch Divas, face painting for children and youth at Grace United Methodist Church Youth Garden, and adult activities of ten-minute massages, Bingo games, and Bid Whist on the lawn of CASC. Seven food vendors will offer delicious food, Catfish Corner, Jackie Sue Catering, Angel Deli, Stowers Shortcake, Culinary Expressions, and Soulful Dishes. Informational Booths and small business vendors will be selling, jewelry, African clothing and accessories, cards, and a variety of products. Informational vendors will provide healthcare demonstrations and knowledge, assessor information, services and products pertaining to Health and Wellness. You can also delight in a vintage car show on the lawn of the center hosted by the Classic Swagger Car Club of Seattle.

Activities are free along with information and food samples from the seven food vendors thanks to a grant from the City of Seattle, Seattle Neighborhoods.
