Leschi Natural Area Planting Party - Seattle Forest Week

Help us celebrate Seattle Forest Week with a planting party!

We’ll be planting native trees, shrubs, and groundcover and spreading mulch to help our new plants get cozy and established for the winter.

Make sure to register here.

No experience is needed—just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to get a little dirty! We’ll provide the tools, gloves, instruction, and everything you need to make a visible difference. (Plus snacks!) Come meet neighbors, learn a little about native plants, and help create a healthier, more beautiful green space for people and wildlife to enjoy.

Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Long sleeves and long pants are recommended for comfort and protection while working in the forest. Dress for the weather—layers are always a good idea. Feel free to bring your own work gloves and water bottle if you'd like, though both are available on-site.

We'll meet at the entrance to the park which has plenty of street parking.
